Build Faster, Greener, Safer, Stronger, Better. Design+Build Turnkey with ESB.

Our History

Eastern Style Builders, Inc. is a story of an American family-owned business built from the ground up. Our focus on customer satisfaction and quality of workmanship has paved the road to ESB’s success for over 30 years.

Our founding family has roots in Michigan, and those who would become the hardworking owners of ESB moved to Tucson, Arizona in the early 1980s.

The Arizona corporation was established in 1984; we started out as residential contractors, repairing and remodeling manufactured homes. As our reputation grew, we began to offer a wider spectrum of services to our customers: site preparation, utility work, transportation and installation of additions to existing modular homes. Recognized for our quality work, ESB was contracted by its first commercial customer in 1987 – an exciting and pivotal opportunity for our business. Our work in the commercial and residential prefabricated building market attracted the attention of many dealers who wanted ESB to do work for them.

It occurred to us that we could offer the whole package.

Became a Licensed Manufacturer: ESB Modular Mfg.
Built Our 28,000 SF Manufacturing Facility

In 1991, ESB became licensed as a manufacturer of modular and prefabricated buildings, doing business as ESB Modular Manufacturing and selling through three major dealers in Arizona. Demand for our work skyrocketed! Soon our outdoor manufacturing site in Tucson was no longer sufficient for our needs. We purchased four acres in Marana, Arizona – a tiny town in Tucson Metro home to just 5,200 people in 1995 – and endeavored to build a large, indoor manufacturing facility. This new headquarters, where we still manufacture and operate today, is strategically situated near the Marana Road ramp to Interstate 10. We began construction of the primary 28,000 sq. ft. factory in 1994 and completed it in 1995, all the while maintaining workmanship and prompt delivery on a growing number of contracts. In the same year, we decided to change our business model to sell directly to our customers, foregoing sales through dealers. ESB flourished as we carried out this new business model. Our customers were extremely pleased with the quality of both our construction and our personal service, and, as a result, we receive a great majority of our projects from repeat business and referrals.

Since the mid ‘90s, ESB has made many improvements to our site in Marana, a fast-growing town that is now home to more than 40,000 people. We are proud to say we have maintained consistent business growth despite dramatic changes in economic conditions. Today, ESB does business as ESB Design+Build and is fully licensed in the State of Arizona to perform all general contracting and manufacturing work associated with commercial and residential offsite constructed permanent buildings, modular buildings and conventional site-built structures. The company directly employs all building trades, and our skilled crews have broad construction expertise. The combination of the following licenses allow us to offer complete, turn-key projects to our customers.
